Ultrasound Usage

Today I used an ultrasound machine for the first time. I have to say it is a neat piece of equipment. I understand that doctors use them in hospitals in surgery when doing minimal invasive procedures. This in conjunction with a scope helps them see the inside of the body. We have one that we experiment with and hope to upgrade for our future liver surgeries. Of course it is difficult to read the images.

I think it is great that technology is growing at a tremendous rate. If our improvement goes through, then we can market new software and adapters with out minimally invasive set-up. What a world this is.

Moringa Tree Refined for Zija

Who has heard of the Moringa Tree? Apparently this tree contains many nutrients. You can view information about this tree at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moringa_oleifera. I think it looks exceptional, but need to test it for myself.

Zija is a company that is selling the Moringa Tree in different forms. They claim it is great for vitamin, amino and other supplements. It comes in a powdered form to add to water. The tastes is less than attractive. There are also pills for weight loss and energy as well as cleansing teas and facial products. I am sampling the products for a few days to see what I think. The company is a pyramid level distribution style process. It is similar to MLM and I have heard mixed reviews. The products are expensive and you add distributors or make direct sales to make your money back. The jury is still out on scam vs no scam. I will report back as soon as I know more.

Future Success for Liver Cancer Patients

I work for a start-up company called Pathfinder Therapeutics. I am a quality assurance technician and learning a great deal more than my job everyday. When I came on board about 3 months ago, I did not realize the impact this technology could have for people. The development of image-guided software and equipment is not new, but this will be the only company in the United States offering this technology. Many times it is difficult to get FDA clearance in the United States. Most companies go elsewhere and target the U.S. last, not us. We want people to get affordable healthcare and tilize technology that is created in the United States. If it is designed here, then offer it to our people first!

The company is an excellent opportunity for technology and people to grow. I think that once our minimally invasive sytem is cleared, the system will be wanted all throughout the country.
