Love My City - White House, TN

I have not posted on Blogger in a long time. I need to change that and post more often. Today I will start with a praise to the City of White House, TN. My family moved here in May of 2014 We moved here because of the schools. Granted, we lived in Springfield and the schools there are also under the sames school board; however, the quality in White House is undeniable. My kids love their friends and teachers! The academics are far better than some Metro Nashville Magnet Schools. I am truly blessed with what I have experienced in the last year and a half. The next thing that I am proud of is the people in the city. White House offers genuine hospitality! No matter where I go, everyone is friendly. People say thank you and you're welcome. Everyone seems to want to make your day a good one. I cannot ask for anything better than a smile and a feeling of I care. Last but not least is the cleanliness of the city. You genuinely do not see littering in the town. Everyone tries to keep our beautiful city clean. I am proud to live in a place that shows how the townsfolk really care. White House is absolutely the best city I have ever lived in or visited. I would not trade my place here for anything. I truly hope my family knows the sacrifices we make in order to reside here. It is worth it and I will always say I am proud to be a White House, TN resident!!!

Sequester?

It has been a few months since I posted. I think I will start out today with what the heck this sequester everyone keeps talking about is. Well if you listen to Obama, you will think the world is ending. He says we have to cut defense spending, lay-off federal workers and release illegal immigrants from DHS custody. This is of course the Obama, White House and Democratic stance. What a bunch of baloney!!!

So, to clarify, it really is not spending cuts at all. In reality, it is reducing our rate of growth. The example I like to imagine is that you make $10 and hour. Your boss says, I am giving you a raise of $1. Now, when it comes time for you to make $11 and hour your boss says due to the economy, I cannot give you the full dollar raise. Instead, I will make your raise .97. Hmm, so now you will make 10.97 the next year. He did not actually cut anything from what you already had, he just cut a measly 2.4% from what your raise. In reality, you are still getting a raise. IN the case of the federal government, they are not cutting spending. They are just cutting 2.4% of new spending.

The liberals try to scare the American public by saying if the sequester happens, you will lose military protection, medicare benefits and probably even God if they thought you would believe it. There are no real cuts, only a slowing on future spending. The deficit is still growing at unprecedented rates. All Obama knows how to do is campaign for his agenda, scare the American people and spend money. It is time we stop letting this president get away with bullying the American People.

Washington DC is full of idiots. Fire 'em all!!!

Is it time to take back America?

All the talk about increasing taxes on the rich and raising the debt ceiling is about to push the limit. Personally, I feel that the Republicans will cave on the tax hikes. I also feel that the Democrats will offer to deal with spending cuts at a later date. I really believe they will raise the debt ceiling.

What does this mean? It means that congress and Obama are not doing their jobs. They are spending us into oblivion. I personally think it is time we stood up and told these politicians just where they can stick it. Seriously, they think they can solve the problems by more spending and more taxes?

I am so sick of it. I also say that if by some remote chance the Republicans were to ever give Obama the power to raise the debt ceiling without their approval, we should force them out of Washington. I am sick of it! This is not the America I want. A bunch of greedy politicians who take from those who can pay and give to those who do not want to pay. This might very well be the final straw!!!

Elections

Would it not be nice to fire all elected officials and start over? I am sick of liberals and even some conservatives. From the Springfield and Robertson county elected officials to the United States Congress, they are all out for their own benefit. Most do not care about the average American. Taxes and spending are out of control. People need to rely less on the government and more on themselves. This is the only way we will rid ourselves of many of these expensive and worthless programs.

On election day, vote new people in office! Just be sure they are not liberals...

Springfield Property Tax Increase

Springfield wants to raise the property tax by a nickle to cover money they have already budgeted. Hmmm, wander if I can tell my employer to raise my pay because there are things I budgeted that I have to pay for. The real world does not work like that.

Why do politicians like to spend our money? They think there are things that taxpayers just have to pay to have. Seriously, balance your budget without property tax increases. Here is a question, what do the people requesting make as a salary? Think they are willing to take a paycut? Many of us have not had a pay raise in years. Now they are asking us to take a paycut by paying more taxes.

Stand up and tell them to budget appropriately!
